Danhostel Kolding is centrally located in regards to everything in Mid and Southern Jutland and only an hour drive from the Danish/German borders. Kolding hostel is in green surroundings in the northern part of the town with only a 10-minute walk from the town center. The location of the hostel is considerably elevated, overlooking Koldinghus Castle, the castle lake, the harbour and the fjord. Danhostel Kolding was built in 1938, but has been modernized several times. It is a beautiful black wooden house with a red tiled roof.
The 11th-century Koldinghus Castle is less than a 20-minute walk from Danhostel Kolding. Legoland Theme Park and Billund Airport are about 35 km away.
Koldinghus is the former royal castle of Koldinghus built in the 13th century, now a museum with certain parts of the castle, chapel and hall being used for governmental ceremonial events. More Info
